- Abstract
- The article studies contemporary structural organization of political power in Russian regions. Theauthor reveals complicated character of power relations, explaining it by the presence of legislativepower, local self-government and territorial branches of federal institutions. On one hand, the analysisshows high level of dependency of regional legislative bodies. On the other hand, the rising infl uenceof federal centre leads to the growing political activity of federal structures in regions and diminishestheir dependency on the governors.
