- Abstract
- The article discusses such elements of an institutional theory of science as concepts of scientific transaction, transaction costs and conflict of interests. It is argued that when reforming scientific institutions and organizations particular attention shall be paid to the management of conflict of interest in the evaluation of scholarly works.
