- The Соld War American fi lms about the romances between the Soviet women and the Westernmen are analyzed in the article. The author points out that the cinematic images of the Soviet and theAmerican masculinity, femininity, love, and sexuality served as a weapon of the international ideological confrontation. At the same time they were intended to support the political and gender ordersin the US.
