- Abstract
- The authors of the paper analyze the images of Russian and French political leaders (D. Medvedev, V. Putin, N. Sarkozy) composed on the basis of the interviews hold among 200 Russian and French students. The characteristics of these real politicians are compared to the normative image of an “ideal president”. The results of the research has revealed that Russian president Medvedev and French head of state Sarkozy were regarded as the antipodes of an “ideal president”, while Putin in Russian students’ opinion was quite close to this perfect image.
