Abstract
Mass protests of the end of 2011–the start of 2012 in Russia are interpreted as a reaction to the prevalence of a particular model of power relationships, Russian power. The paper also discusses several strategies that would allow moving from the equilibrium of Russian power to a democratic equilibrium, namely reform of municipal and regional authorities and reform of academia.
