- Abstract
- This paper attempts to substantiate the strategy of socio-cultural modernization of education as an institution of socialization, which plays a key role in the purposeful formation of value orientations, norms, attitudes and behavioral stereotypes of the Russian population. The article reveals the role of education in constructing such effects of social development as social consolidation of society, civil identity of representatives of various social groups and national cultures of the country, social trust, successful socialization of younger generations, and social stratification of the Russian population. The article discusses the need to take into account the effects of socio-cultural modernization of education as a factor of increasing the competitiveness of individuals, society and the state in the further design of long-term socio-economic development programs in Russia, including the Federal program for the development of education.
