- Abstract
The article traces the emergence of the myth on the reconciliation between Bunin and Soviet Russia. Having analyzed all the Russian press in the post-war Paris, the author comes to the conclusion that there were several reasons for that: Bunin was published in the pro-Soviet Rus- skije Novosti; he was in quarrel with the anti-Soviet Russkaja Mysl; Sovetskij Patriot made respectful references to him. In this context, an insignificant interview of 1946 did a strange trick: different political circles interpreted it as his strong desire to repatriate.
