- Abstract
The article highlights the situation of the Orthodox Church in Imperial Russia, referred to the dissatisfaction of the higher clergy participation of the Emperor in matters of Church government, considered the political position of the clergy in the period of February 1917. The motives of the higher clergy explains in the mainstream of historical-theological problems of the “priesthood and kingdom.”
