Abstract

In this article the basic features of the western legal culture (individualism, rationalism, formalism). By comparing the western concept of law with socio-normative systems, typical for othercultures, in particular – Islamic, the author tries to answer the question weather these features aretypical only for the western legal culture or they are universal.
